TNI Bureau: Intensifying protest against the farm laws, protesting farmers took over several toll plazas in Hisar district, located on the Delhi road, Rajgarh road, Sirsa road and Chandigarh road in Haryana on Saturday.
They also closed the Bastara toll plaza on NH-44 and Peont toll plaza on Karnal-Jind National Highway-709A
The protesting farmers are not allowing authorities to collect fees from commuters and allowing vehicles to pass through without paying the toll as part of their agitation against Farm Laws.
Heavy deployment of police forces has been ensured to maintain law and order. Section 144 has been imposed in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri area.
The ongoing protest of the farmers entered 17th day today with the farmer now threatening to block railway tracks.
‘Toll Free’ protests have been enforced in several parts of the country too.
