TNI Bureau: All exit polls across TV channels have predicted a landslide victory for Narendra Modi in Gujarat. The exit polls are of the view that Modi would make a hattrick and retain power by decimating the Congress Party in the state.
The ABP News-Nielsen exit polls have given 126 seats to BJP in Gujarat – 9 more than what the party won in 2007. The Congress may end up with 50 seats. The India TV-CVoter has predicted 124 seats for the BJP, while giving 54 to the Congress.
Today’s Chanakya-News 24 exit poll has predicted 140 seats for Narendra Modi, while giving just 40 seats to the Congress. The Headlines Today-ORG poll has predicted 118-128 seats for the BJP in Gujarat, giving 50-56 seats to the Congress. All exit polls gave a big thumbs down to Keshubhai Patel’s Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP), which may fail to make any impact in the state.
