TNI Bureau: Vijay Mallya has continues to give a miss to the media and Kingfisher employees even as the crisis within the airlines has deepened further. Mallya is reportedly having a leisure in Europe, while the Kingfisher employees are on a strike, seeking the disbursement of their pending salaries.
The Kingfisher employees have rejected the fresh over made by the management, seeking the pending salary for at least four months along with the arrears. Kingfisher had offered them three months’s salaries in three installments before Diwali.
The employees haven’t received the salaries for at least seven months. The license of Kingfisher Airlines was suspended by the DGCA earlier this week. Mallya should be back in India before the F1 Indian Grand Prix next week. It would be interesting to see how he responds to the employees’ grievances.
