Eden Curator Changed, BCCI takes Charge

TNI Bureau: The BCCI has finally cracked the whip on Eden Gardens curator Prabir Mukherjee to appease skipper Ms Dhoni and took over the pitch preparations for the third test match. East Zone curator Ashish Bhowmick has been appointed as the curator for the Kolkata test, which will begin on Dec 5.

Despite the humiliation in Mumbai, Dhoni wants to go with a turner, which will assist the spinner from Day 1. However, curator Prabir Mukherjee wanted to prepare a sporting wicket of his own choice. The CAB also fears that having a under-prepared wicket may lead to a ban by the ICC.

Prabir Mukherjee has made it clear that it would be impossible to prepare such a wicket at the Eden Gardens, which would make Dhoni happy. But, the BCCI has decided to replace him so that new curator can try something different.

Despite the new development, Prabir Mukherjee said that he is still in charge and would prepare a sporting wicket.
