He is being brought to Delhi on transit remand after he was produced in the court of chief judicial magistrate in Muzaffarpur.
The accused was arrested by a team from Delhi Police with the help of local police. Kumar is a native of Bharphua village. He was working as a labourer in Delhi. He had recently married and his wife had gone to her parents’ place two days back.
The 5-year-old girl is battling for life at AIIMS. She is still in critical condition. Doctors said that the next 48 hours will be crucial for the victim. Her genitals were mutilated and candle and bottle were found in her abdominal cavity. She was raped and brutalised for four days in captivity in Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar area.
