TNI Bureau: Delhi Police today filed a chargesheet against five of the six accused in relating to the horrific Delhi-gangrape in the metropolitan magistrate’s court in Saket, New Delhi.
The victim, a 23year old paramedical student, who was gangraped and brutally assaulted in a moving bus in the capital died on December 29 in a Singapore hospital.
The five accused, Ram Singh, his brother Mukesh and their accomplices Pawan Gupta, Vinay Sharma and Akshay Thakur have been charge sheeted for the offences of murder, gangrape, attempt to murder, kidnapping, unnatural offences, dacoity, hurting in committing robbery, destruction of evidence, criminal conspiracy and common intention under the Indian Penal Code.
The sixth accused, who is thought to be a juvenile, will be charged separately. His bone density is being analyzed now to ascertain if the sixth accused is a juvenile or an adult.
According to reports, the chargesheet says that DNA reports have confirmed that all the six accused were involved in the horrific crime in which the 23-year-old girl lost her life.
Earlier, Chief Justice of India (CJI) Altamas Kabir inaugurated a fast-track court at Saket court complex in Delhi last evening. And, the gang rape and murder of the 23-year old paramedical student in Delhi will be the first case to be heard in this court.
