TNI Bureau: In view of the continued challenges faced by taxpayers due to outbreak of COVID-19, the Central Government on Wednesday further extended the dates for various compliances.
According to a notification issued by Ministry of Finance, the deadline for filing income tax returns by individuals extended by 10 days to January 10, 2021 while the deadline for filing income tax return for 2019-20 by companies extended by 15 days to Feb 15, 2021.
As per the notification, the date for furnishing of various audit reports under, including tax audit report and report in respect of international/specified domestic transaction has been further extended to January 15, 2021.
The Government has also extended the due date of furnishing of annual return under section 44 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 for the financial year 2019-20 from December 31, 2020 to February 28, 2021.
The last date for making a declaration under Vivad Se Vishwas Scheme has also been extended to January 31, 2021.
