A Suspected Pakistani terrorist was arrested in connection with March 13 fidayeen attack on a CRPF camp in Bemina. He was nabbed from Rampura, Chattabal area of Srinagar late on Thursday night.
Security forces had launched a special operation in Srinagar against two terrorists, who had stormed a CRPF camp in Bemina on Wednesday killing five Jawans. The suspected terrorist Abu Talib is a resident of Multan in Pakistan. The efforts by the intelligence agencies helped the security forces to nab the terrorist in the Kashmir valley. Soon after the attack on Wednesday, the intelligence agencies gad traced his call made to his handlers in Pakistan.
The fidayeen attack in Srinagar was believed to have been plotted by the terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, which have vowed to take revenge for hanging of Afzal Guru. The terrorists had carried out the strike being disguised as cricketers.
