TNI Bureau: The ties between JD(U) and BJP in Bihar ran into rough weather, as BJP expressed its readiness to contest in all 40 Lok Sabha seats alone if things do not work out. BJP’s Bihar Unit President CP Thakur said although he was confident of a strong BJP-JD(U) alliance in Bihar, his party is ready to contest all 40 seats in 2014 if the relations get strained.
Taking advantage of the situation in Bihar, the Congress Party has tried to woo the JD(U), saying it is not averse for a tie-up with them. “If the JD(U) severs ties with the BJP, the Congress may welcome it as an ally,” said Manish Tewari.
