Congress woos Nandan Nilekani to fight LS Polls

While the BJP is trying to rope in South Superstar Rajinikanth in Tamil Nadu, the Congress has almost convinced former Infosys CEO and pioneer of Aadhar programme, Nandan Nilekani to contest the Lok Sabha polls from Bangalore South on party ticket.

The Bangalore South constituency is currently represented by BJP stalwart Ananth Kumar. But, with BJP’s popularity taking a heavy beating in Karnataka after Yedyurappa episode, Nilekani may have a great chance to win the polls if decides to enter the fray.

Since Ananth Kumar has five consecutive elections from the middle-class dominated Bangalore South constituency, many are skeptical about Nilekani’s victory there. However, the Congress strongly believes that the former Infosys CEO would be able to attract the urban middle class voters because of his credibility and clean image as an administrator.
