Coalgate: Parliament adjourned for 3rd Consecutive Day

TNI Bureau: The main opposition BJP continued to paralyse both Houses of Parliament for the third consecutive day today demanding resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the CAG report on coal block allocation.

Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned for the day following the ruckus. The BJP members shouted slogans and stormed the Well to press their demand.

The opposition made it clear that they would not let the Parliament run smoothly till the PM resigns from his post.

The Parliament proceedings resumed at 2 pm following an adjournment in the morning. However, the parliament witnessed same scene following which the houses were adjourned till Friday.

Taking on the Opposition, Congress president Sonia Gandhi asked her party MPs to go on the offensive saying they cannot take people for granted. Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said that he will speak to all the opposition leaders to break deadlock.
