The Rajasthan Royals became the second Indian team after the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to move into the semifinals of CLT20 2013. They beat Perth Scorchers in a Group A match to register their third straight win.
Perth bowled out for 120 in 20 overs. Adam Voges was the top scorer with 27. Kevon Cooper took four wickets, while James Faulkner and Pravin Tambe took two wickets each.
Rajasthan lost Rahul Dravid for a duck. However, Rahane (62*) and Sanju Samson (50*) made no mistake and powered the team to a nine-wicket victory. They reached 121/1 in 16.3 overs. Kevon Cooper was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
