Class 7 Student commits Suicide in Nabrangpur

Nabarangpur (By Rakesh Gupta): In a shocking incident, a body of a class 7th  student of  Kendraiya Vidyalaya, Nabarangpur is recovered  from the River Indravati.

Som Mohanty aged 14 years a class 7th student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nabarangpur was missing since last evening. By taking his cycle, the boy left his home for tuition carrying his school bag at around 6pm. When the boy did not return till 9pm, his family members felt suspicious and started searching him.  When they could not trace him till 11pm, then they lodge a FIR at the Nabarangpur police station.

In the morning, some people found his cycle, school bag and a cap at the bank of Indravati River near old bridge. Police rushed to the spot and a search was started by some diving experts, who found the dead body from the river and which was later identified as Som Mohanty.

According to the Police sources, it is believed that Som committed suicide. School sources said that the boy did not attend the school since last two days. However,   the cause of the drastic step by the boy is unknown yet. The body of the boy is taken to the head quarter hospital for post mortem. He was the only son of his parents.. This shocking incident creates a sad wave in Nabarangpur and nearby areas.
