China and India have withdrawn their troops on Sunday evening from the face-off point at Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.
Chinese troops had entered about 19-kilometers inside Indian Territory in in the Depsang Valley near the LAC. Soon after, India set up its own post just 500 metres away.
However, an agreement was reached to withdraw troops after intense negotiations via diplomatic channels and the modalities were worked out at the fourth flag meeting between Indian and Chinese commanders.
Finally, diplomacy between the two most populous neighboring countries yielded a positive result.
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid is scheduled to visit Beijing on May 9 while the Chinese Premier Le Keqiang is scheduled to come New Delhi on May 20 where border issue will be prime focus of discussion.
