CSKKolkata posted 180/6 in 20 overs. Uthappa (39), Gambhir (80), Manish Pandey and Yusuf Pathan (20*) were the top scorers. Pawan Negi took five wickets for CSK.

The victory target of 181 looked so simple, as Suresh Raina punished the KKR bowlers heavily. The KKR missed Sunil Narine badly, as he was barred from playing in this crunch game due to suspected bowling action. CSK reached 185.2 in 18.3 overs. Brendon McCullum scored 39, while Raina remained unbeaten on 109 off 62 balls with 6 boundaries and 8 sixes. Dhoni remained not out on 23. Raina was declared ‘Man of the Match’. He was also declared as the ‘Man of the Series’.
