TNI Bureau: The Budget session of Uttar Pradesh Assembly witnessed uproar in the House on the first day. The members of BSP and RLD created ruckus during the Governor’s speech throwing paper balls towards the Hon’ble chair. They blamed the state government for recent stampede at Allahabad railway station.
It was a stormy start in the House after Governor BL Joshi started his address. The BSP and RLD members raised slogans against Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his inability to maintain law and order situation in the state. Even many members of Mayawati were seen standing on desks. They threw paper balls at Joshi forcing them to finish the session formality in a few minutes.
The opposition members were shouting slogans demanding judicial probe into the Allahabad stampede that claimed 37 Maha Kumbh pilgrims on Feb 10. The CM was present at the House, but remained silent.
The members of BJP were not present at the House. They boycotted the Governor’s address.
