TNI Bureau: The Balangir unit of the JITM junior college and Centurion University celebrated its 5th Annual Function Phoenix 2013 on 13th and 14th January 2013 at the Centurion campus, IDCO land behind BSNL office, Balangir. While Dr. Madhusudan Pati, retired English professor of Sambalpur University graced the occasion as the chief guest, Centurion University’s President Prof. Dr. Muktikanta Mishra presided the function.
Principal of JITM +2 Science College Sri Ananga Udaya Naik read out the annual report. The successful awardees of different competitions held earlier in the institution were also awarded in the function.
Among these students, while Suraj Meher, Kalpana Mishra and Satyam Mohapatra was awarded as best students, Susmita Bhuyan and Asutosh Mishra from +2 and Sarada Bhanjadeo from B.Sc. were awarded for 100% attendance.
Miss Priyadarshini Sahu, lecturer in IT was honored as the sincere faculty and Mr. Umesh Nag, service provider, was honored for his best sincere service. Famous cartoonist duo Aswini-Abani was also honored by Centurion University in this occasion.
Centurion University has signed an MOU with the University of Southern Queensland, Australia to offer joint certification courses in India. The university also renders educational programmes working with the Government of Odisha. It has five campuses at Paralakhemundi, Bhubaneswar, Balangir, Rayagada, and Chatrapur offering B. Tech., MBA, +2 Science, ITI, Primary and Secondary Education in addition to Skill and Vocational Training and Social Entrepreneurship initiatives.
