Brazil thrash Spain to win Confederations Cup

Five-time World Champion Brazil prevailed over defending World Champion Spain in the Confederations Cup final, as they produced brilliant display of soccer to take the title away with a 3-0 scoreline.

Brazil-FredFred scored two goals for Brazil, while Neymar scored the other goal. Despite their best efforts, Spain failed to penetrate into Brazil’s goal post. Ironically, Sergio Ramos missed a penalty kick for Spain in the 55th minute.

Spain defender Gerard Pique was sent off with a red card for fouling Neymar in the 68th minute. That turned out to be a disaster for the European team. The result ended Spain’s 26-match unbeaten streak.

Fernando Torres (Spain) won the Golden Boot, while Fred (Brazil) won the Silver Boot. The Bronze Boot was won by Neymar (Brazil).
