Bhupathi-Sania wins French Open Mixed Doubles Title

TNI Bureau: It was a wonderful moment for Indians when Tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza won their second mixed doubles title together in the French Open final on Thursday.

What could have been the best birthday gift more than a trophy for Mahesh Bhupathi? The Indian player celebrated his 38th birthday in a new style. The duo won the trophy after beating Klaudia Jans-Ignacik and Santiago Gozalez 7-6, 6-1 in the tournament.

Bhupathi and Mirza fought together to trounce the Polish-Mexican partnership after Jans-Ignacik smacked a backhand wide on match point.
