In a big blow to self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, his bail plea was rejected by a Jodhpur Court today. He was sent to 14-day judicial custody on September 2. He will now move the Rajasthan High Court for the bail.

Asaram, who is in custody on charges of sexual assault on a minor, was arrested from Indore at midnight on August 31. He has already cleared a ‘potency test’ conducted by the Jodhpur cops, but denied all allegations so far.

Meanwhile, Asaram Bapu’s personal caretaker Shiva, who was arrested a few days earlier, has reportedly spilled the beans. According to him, the victim was called to the room of the accused at the behest of the godman himself. Shiva further disclosed that Asaram used to meet women alone after 8 PM.
