Arvind Kejriwal forms ‘Aam Aadmi Party’

TNI Bureau: The Congress has always claimed that it has been with the common people or aam aadmi. However, anti-graft crusader Arvind Kejriwal has hijacked that slogan “Congress Ka Haath, Aam Aadmi Ke Saath” by forming ‘Aam Aadmi Party’.

Around 300 founder members gathered at the Constitution Club in New Delhi to agree on the name and Constitution of the new party. The Constitution of the party was also adopted at the meeting.

The National Executive Body of the party now comprises of 23 members, who were elected at the meeting. Five more members would be appointed soon. The National Executive would meet tomorrow evening to appoint the office-bearers of the party.

The focus and agenda of ‘Aam Aadmi Party’ would be on Swaraj or Self-Rule. Formal launching ceremony of the party would be held at Jantar Mantar on Monday.
