TNI Bureau: India’s Army Chief Bikram Singh warned Pakistan ahead of the flag meeting between two countries’ commanders in the Poonch sector on the ceasefire violation and the killing of two Indian soldiers. Addressing a press conference today, General Singh said that the army will lodge a strong protest at Today’s flag meet over the issue.
He expected that all commanders deployed at LoC to be very aggressive if they face firing from Pakistan’s side. Talking tough against Pakistan, General Singh claimed that Pakistan’s operation was pre-planned that killed two Indian soldiers. He condemned the brutal killing of the soldiers saying beheading of the soldiers is unacceptable. He called the killings as ‘gruesome’ and ‘unpardonable’.
He blamed Pakistan that the country has violated the ethics and principles of rules of engagement. India will uphold the ceasefire if Pakistan does not violate the rules, he said.
The Brigadier-level flag meet will be held in afternoon to ease the tension between India and Pakistan after the killing of Lance Naik Hemraj Singh and Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh on the border in Poonch by the Pakistani troops last week.
