Anjana Padmanabhan wins 1st Indian Idol Junior Title

Anjana Padmanabhan, the 10-year-old beautiful girl from Bangalore, has won the inaugural Indian Idol Junior title broadcast on Sony TV. She outwitted  Nirvesh Sudhanshubhai Dave, Debanjana Karmakar and Anmol Jaswal in the gran finale to prove the girl power.

Anjana Padmanabhan received the Indian Idol Junior trophy from Big B Amitabh Bachchan. She also won a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh and a Nissan Micra car. Anjana also got cheques worth Rs 5 lakh and 2 lakh from Kotak Mahindra Bank and Horlicks respectively.

The Indian Idol Junior reality show was first aired on June 1. The show was hosted by Karan Wahi and Mandira Bedi, while singer Shreya Ghoshal, and music composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, were the judges. During the grand finale, it was announced that an Indian Idol Academy will be set up to impart musical training to children.
