Amit Mishra takes 3rd Hat-trick in IPL

The cricket fans could not believe their eyes last night, when Pune Warriors India lost their last six wickets for just seven runs and lost a match, which was under their absolute control. The Sunrisers Hyderabad yet again proved that their bowlers are the best in this IPL 6.

Amit Mishra took the last three wickets of Pune. And, it was a hat-trick. Mishra took his third hat-trick in the IPL – a rare achievement. A day before, Sunil Narine of KKR had taken the first hat-trick of IPL 6.

Earlier, Pune won the toss and elected to field. Hyderabad was restricted to 119/8 in 20 overs. Odia lad Biplab Samantray, who was playing just his second match in IPL 6, was the top scorer with 37. Amit Mishra made 30. For Pune, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took three wickets, while Rahul Sharma took two wickets.

Chasing a victory target of 120, Pune Warriors were going well till the 17th over, as they were 101/4. However, there was a sudden batting collapse and they bundled out for 108 in 19 overs; thus losing the match by 11 runs. Uthappa scored 22, while Angelo Mathews made 20. Amit Mishra, who was declared ‘Man of the Match’ for his all-round performance, took four wickets, including a hat-trick. Thisara Perera took three wickets.
