TNI Bureau: Bypassing its ally BJP and displaying the strength of JD(U), Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar addressed a massive ‘Adhikar Rally’ at Gandhi Maidan in Patna and slammed the UPA II government at the centre, accusing of it of ignoring Bihar on all fronts. Nitish vowed to continue fight till Bihar gets a special status.
Nitish, seeking to establish his influence in Delhi politics, has warned the Centre that his party would launch massive agitation at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi in March 2013 if the government does not accord the special state’s status to Bihar by then.
Issuing a veiled threat to his ally BJP, Nitish said that his party would create such a situation where no government could be formed at the centre without their support. Nitish further added that stated with growth rate below the national average, should be granted the special status.
