90 Live Bombs recovered from IM Hideouts

In a major breakthrough, at least 90 live bombs were recovered from the hideouts of Indian Mujahideen in Mangalore and Hyderabad. The recovery was made following the interrogation of IM co-founder Yasin Bhatkal. It is believed that Indian Mujahideen was planning serial blasts in Southern states such as Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh to disturb communal harmony.

Yasin-BhatkalThe IED devices were found at the Ephyr Heights in Mangalore and Abdullapur in Hyderabad. The recovered materials included sharpnels, explosive, ammonium nitrate and other bomb-making materials.

Yasin Bhatkal was arrested from Nepal border on August 29. He is still under the custody of NIA.
