TNI Bureau: The authorities have released the last notification for citizens to verify their SIR online. Millions of citizens across the country have been notified to revise the information on the Voter Services Portal. The failure to respond using OTP authentication would lead to the removal of such citizens from the voting list automatically.
If you have received a Special Intensive Revision notice, here is how you can reply by submitting your documents online:
1. Portal Access: Access the voter service portal using the URL https://voters.eci.gov.in/ and login through your EPIC (Voter ID) number or your registered mobile number.
2. Click Notice Option: Select the option marked “Submit Documents Against Notice Issued”.
3. Reference Details and OTP: Provide your EPIC number or Notice Reference Number along with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number in order to view the details of your notice.
4. Upload Documents: Fill up the relevant form fields along with the required documents or identification proofs as indicated in your notice.
5. Complete Aadhaar Based OTP Verification: Complete the process of Aadhaar based OTP verification for successful submission of your reply.
The Odisha State Election Commission (SEC) has completed the preparation of a detailed road map in order to modernize the electoral roll before the upcoming three-tier PRI and ULB elections, with the help of a door-to-door state-wide voter survey set to take place from October 26 till November 7. After the high level meeting conducted by the State Election Commissioner and attended by district collectors and election officers, this elaborate field activity is expected to result in the creation of an accurate and error-free electoral roll before the local body elections due in April or May next year. The district level survey teams will be finalized by July 31, with the finalization of electoral roll by February 10, following which the notification for polls can be issued after the completion of national Census operation in early March.
SEC secretary Santosh Kumar Das revealed that the commission chose direct physical verification instead of using roll splitting techniques to correct past discrepancies and legal battles. In order to permanently correct duplicate registrations, de-duplication software will be used to delete any duplicate registration both in rural and urban constituencies. The other initiative in the election management process is the adoption of a digital system for nominations for Panchayat and municipal elections where they will be able to track everything on a day-to-day basis, as infrastructure development involves procurement of more than 4,000 EVMs.
