DGP Urges Elderly, Patients and Children to Avoid Puri During Ratha Jatra

TNI Bureau: DGP Y.B. Khurania has urged elderly people, patients and children to avoid visiting Puri during the ongoing Ratha Jatra due to the heavy rush of devotees in the pilgrim town.

He appealed to devotees to remain cautious and follow the guidelines issued by the police for the Ratha Jatra, Bahuda Yatra and Suna Besha. The DGP said public cooperation is essential for the smooth and safe conduct of the festival.

Officials said the advisory has been issued in view of the large gathering of devotees and ongoing crowd management efforts in Puri.
