TNI Bureau: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Manisha Gurunath Mandhare, a senior Botany teacher from Pune, in connection with the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case.
According to reports, Mandhare was part of the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) examination process and had access to the Botany and Zoology question papers. She was arrested in Delhi after interrogation by the CBI.
Investigators alleged that in April 2026, she conducted special coaching classes for selected NEET aspirants at her Pune residence with the help of another accused, Manisha Wagmare, who was arrested earlier.
During these classes, Mandhare allegedly discussed and explained several Botany and Zoology questions and asked students to note them down in notebooks and textbooks. Officials claimed that many of these questions later matched the actual NEET-UG 2026 examination paper held on May 3.
The NEET-UG 2026 examination was later cancelled following allegations of a nationwide paper leak.
