TNI Bureau: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited the Statue of Equality in Hyderabad and offered prayers to Jagadguru Sri Ramanujacharya, the renowned philosopher, saint, and social reformer known for his teachings on equality, compassion, and social harmony.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain and senior government officials. During the visit, the delegation met Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimanta Narayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji and held discussions on India’s spiritual traditions, inclusive philosophy, and the contemporary relevance of Ramanujacharya’s teachings.
Swamiji blessed the Chief Minister and conveyed his best wishes for peace, progress, and prosperity for the people of Odisha.
As part of the programme, the Chief Minister released an Odia bhajan on Sri Ramanujacharya, authored by Sri Sri Tridandi Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji. The devotional song aims to spread awareness about the life, philosophy, and spiritual message of Sri Ramanujacharya among Odia devotees.
Speaking after the visit, Shri Majhi said the Statue of Equality stands as a powerful symbol of India’s spiritual heritage and serves as a reminder of the enduring values of social justice, inclusiveness, and human dignity propagated by Sri Ramanujacharya. He added that these values continue to guide Odisha’s vision of balanced development, social harmony, and people-centric governance.
The visit underscored Odisha’s respect for India’s spiritual legacy and its commitment to upholding the ideals of equality and harmony inspired by the teachings of Sri Ramanujacharya.
