Broader indices showed resilience, recovering nearly half of Monday’s losses, with the midcap index climbing 1,286 points to 53,677. The Nifty Bank also delivered a strong performance, surging 688 points to close at 48,729.
IT sector faced headwinds as HCLTech registered its steepest fall in a decade, declining sharply after reporting in-line Q3 results. Biocon advanced 6% after HSBC upgraded the stock to “buy” and raised its price target. NTPC Green saw a strong uptick, ending 10% higher on robust volumes.
