TNI Bureau: At least 9 people were killed and several were injured in a major explosion at the state-owned Vizag steel plant on Wednesday night in Andhra Pradesh.

The injured people are undergoing treatment at steel plant’s hospital.
Officials said 9 people were killed in the fire. However, other media reports put the number at 16. The explosion occurred at the oxygen control unit near the Steel Melting Shop at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL).
The explosion triggered fire at the oxygen control station causing massive damage at the steel plant.
