65th Indian Army Day celebrated Today

TNI Bureau: Amidst the tension between India and Pakistan over the killing of two soldiers at the Line of Control (LoC), Indian Army celebrated its 65th Indian Army Day today to pay homage to the soldiers, who have sacrificed their lives for the country.

The Army marks the day on January 15 every year to remember the brave soldiers, who have been killed in wars and military operations. They paid homage to the martyrs at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate. The army used to celebrate the day in the form of parades and other military shows featuring Army’s technology and achievements at Delhi Cantonment as well as all 6 Army Command headquarters.

The day was celebrated a day after the brigadier-level flag meet between India and Pakistan ended on Monday over the gruesome killing of two Indian soldiers.

Two Indian soldiers were brutally killed and one of them was beheaded by Pak troops in Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir on January 8.
