During these 5 days Camp volunteers will be trained on various programme and practices such as History of Red Cross Movement, Fundamental Principles, First Aid, Health & Hygiene, Road Safety & Traffic Rules. Yoga, various competitions will also be organized during the camp to harness the literary potentiality of the Junior Red Cross volunteers. This camp will help the volunteers to build their capacity to render the humanitarian services to the most vulnerable people in the society.
Shri Maheswar Mohanty, MLA, Puri graced the inaugural session as the Chief Guest said that various activities taken up by the JRC Volunteers and Counsellors at State and District level are praiseworthy. In order to become a leader one has to serve the down-trodden and the vulnerable people in the society.
Dr Chakradhar Panda, Honorary Secretary, IRCS-OSB delivered the welcome address and highlighted the vital role to be played by JRC Volunteers to act as change agents for the betterment of the Society.
Smt Salia Sethi, District Education Officer, Puri joined as Guest of Honor and emphasized on the objectives of the Junior Red Cross and advised to the Juniors to make Red Cross a part of your life.
Sri Govinda Chandra Mahunta, Honorary Joint Secretary, IRCS-OSB, Junior Red Cross Officer I/c highlighted the objectives of the camp on this occasion.
At the end of the programme vote of thanks was offered by Smt. Manorama Das, Head Master, Zilla School, Puri. The programme was coordinated by Sri Janmejaya Rath and assisted by Smt. Gaurimani Biswal.
