300-km Paradip-Barbil Road to be converted into 8 Lane Highway

TNI Bureau:  The 300-km long Paradip-Barbil road will be converted into 8-lane highway. A devid was taken during a video conferencing between Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Union P&NG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was also present at the meeting.

The 300 Km 8-lane integrated economic corridor from Paradip to Barbil will consist of 6 stretches. CM Naveen Patnaik has assured all support to Paradeep-Barbil Economic Corridor and Gopalpur-Satpada Coastal Highway project.

Various NH projects in Keonjhar as well as ports connectivity including Gopalpur, Subarnarekha, Astharang, Paradip and Dhamara were discussed at the meeting.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has also suggested regular meetings with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari once in every 2 months and official level meetings with the Union Government every month to speed up the project.
