TNI Bureau: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has restricted only 100 SMSes per day at concessional rate on one SIM card in order to stop the pesky and unwanted messages that disturb the subscribers at work.

According to the new revised law of the telecom regulator TRAI, SMSes sent beyond 100 SMS per day per SIM shall be charged at a tariff of minimum 50 paise.

The move has been taken to restrict the unregistered telemarketers, who are taking the advantage of the concessional SMS offers by telecom operators. The recent decision by the TRAI is certainly a admirable move.
