Shiva Temple inaugurated at Metro Satellite City

A grand Shiva Temple of Shri Nilakantheswara was inaugurated inside the premises of Metro Satellite City Phase I near Puri Canal Road in Hanspal on the auspicious day of Rath Yatra. A four-day puja, havan and rituals were conducted by a number of priests with the help of residents of the society. The women in the society participated in a barefoot  ‘Kalash Yatra’ to bring the holy water from the river.

Metro FrontMr. Piyush Mohanty, Director of Metro Builders (Odisha) Pvt. Ltd, sponsored the Temple and all related expenses. Mr. Samarendra Mohapatra, General Manager of Metro Builders, was the man behind the concept and implementation. He, with the help of his Core Team, took adequate steps on a war footing to establish the Temple.

Inside the premises, a big temple of Lord Shiva exists along with small temples of Shani Deva, Maa Mangala and Lord Hanuman. The residents of the society have also contributed their bit to purchase the accessories for the temple and deities.

Senior resident Mr. Trilochan Sahoo took the lead in managing the entire puja and havan. Mr. Deptabhanu Satapathy and his wife Gauri Satapathy assisted him in the four-day rituals with the help of the priests.
