TNI Bureau: Mohinder Amarnath, whose credentials and integrity cannot be questioned under any circumstances, has revealed in an explosive interview to TIMES NOW that the selectors had at one stage agreed to sack MS Dhoni as the captain, but his sacking was blocked.

Krish Srikkanth was the Chief Selector at that time, while Amarnath was one of the selectors. Amarnath disclosed that Dhoni was almost axed because of poor performance and lacklusture leadership. However, the decision was never taken. He did not say why and how the decision was blocked.

It seems that some influential people at the BCCI prevented Dhoni’s exit and reigned in the Selectors. Amarnath, the man who had dared to call the Selectors a ‘bunch of jokers” when he was playing cricket, has made it categorical that there should not be any interference in the selection process.
