TNI Bureau: While Saif Ali Khan and his bride Kareena Kapoor have been receiving wishes and compliments in galore for their wedlock, Darul Uloom Deoband, an Islamic school of India, termed Saifeena’s marriage as anti-Islam. The institution claimed that Kareena has not converted to Muslim before wedding. Since the actress is a Hindu, Islam does not approve the wedlock.
A senior cleric of the seminary, located in the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh is quoted as saying by PTI: “According to the Muslim laws, since Kapoor has not converted to Islam, this marriage is anti-Islam.”

It is clearly not known whether the couple had a ‘nikah’ according to the Muslim laws. But they first had a registered marriage at Saif’s place in Bandra in Mumbai on October 16 and later had a wedding reception party. They reportedly exchanged marital vows during this reception in Saif’s native place.
Earlier, Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor had ruled out the possibility of Kareena converting to Islam. “Nobody is converting here — one human being is getting married to another, so they are not concerned about caste, creed or breed. They are going for a registered marriage, and as long as they are happy, they have my blessings,” Randhir Kapoor had reportedly said.
