TNI Bureau: French auto manufacturer Renault has successfully launched the new Renault Duster SUV in India at a price of Rs 7.19 lakh for the 1.6-litre petrol version. The Duster is available in eight versions and is available for immediate sale in the country.
Duster is the fourth offering from Renault after Fluence, Koleos and Pulse. This Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) was earlier showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo. The 1.6-litre petrol engine of the Duster produces 104PS of power while the 1.5-litre dCi engine is available in two states of tune – 85PS and 110PS.

The Renault Duster comes in eight variants with different price tags – Petrol RxE : Rs 7.19 lakh, Petrol RxL: Rs 8.19 lakh, Diesel 85 PS RxE: Rs 7.99 lakh, Diesel 85 PS RxL: Rs 8.99lakh, RXL Diesel pack: Rs 9.99 lakh, Diesel 110 PS RxL: Rs 9.99 lakh, Diesel 110 PS RxZ: Rs 10.99 lakh, RXZ Diesel pack: Rs 11.29 lakh.
The vehicle has reportedly been sold 6000 units in just one week of its launch. The Duster expected to compete with the Tata Safari and Mahindra Scorpio.
The Duster built with all the features and luxuries of a premium vehicle and combines the comfort and sophistication of a sedan and the robust ruggedness of an SUV. The vehicle is said to be fit both for city and rural India roads.
