POSCO Project: Acquisition begins after Explosion
After a mysterious explosion in Patna village near the Posco site, which left three anti-POSCO protesters dead, the administration began the land acquisition work and even demolished three betel vines in Gobindpur. At least 12 platoons of police have been deployed in the area.
During today’s acquisition process, no violent incidents or protests were reported. However, mystery shrouded the explosions. The police claimed that the blast occurred when the anti-POSCO activists were preparing crude bombs. However, the PPSS leaders and one of the injured claimed that some miscreants hurled bombs at them.
Health Minister Dr. Damodar Rout, who represents Paradeep constituency, has demanded a crime branch probe into the explosion so that the truth comes out.
