Nagpur Test: Ishant Strikes, as England bat First
TNI Bureau: Ishant Sharma struck form at the right time by removing dangerous England openers Nick Compton and Alastair Cook, as a desperate Team India look to salvage pride in Nagpur Test.
England won the toss and elected to bat first. They replaced injured Steven Finn with Tim Bresnan. India made two changes to the team. Ravindra Jadeja replaced Yuvraj Singh, while Piyush Chawla replaced Zaheer Khan. India is playing three regular spinners and one all-rounder spinner (Jadeja) in this match.
Compton was the first to go. He scored just 3. Cook was a bit unlucky to be given LBW. He perished at 1. Umpire Dharmasena, who gave Cook out, had not given Jonathan Trott out, even it was a plumb LBW. England were 30/2 when reports last received.
