TNI Bureau: Virender Sehwag failed to score a hundred in his 100th test match, as he was out for a quick-fire 30 off 43 balls. Monty Panesar, who replaced Tim Bresnan in this match, claimed Sehwag’s wicket. Panesar also took Tendulkar’s wicket.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat first in the second test match against England in Mumbai. Gautam Gambhir fell to James Anderson for 4.

Tendulkar, who has been going through a rough patch in Tests, has failed yet again. He was clean-bowled by Panesar for 8. India were 60/3 when reports last received. Pujara and Kohli were at the crease.
