Kohli Yet Again, India stun Australia

India stunned Australia by chasing down over 350 for the second time in this series and won the 6th ODI in Nagpur by 6 wickets to bring ife to the series with 2-2 score level. Shikhar Dhawan scored his 4th ODI hundred, while Virat Kohli made his 17th ODI ton off just 61 balls.

Virat-Kohli-CaptainEarlier, India won the toss and elected to field first. Australia posted 350/6 in 50 overs. George Bailey scored 156 off 114 balls, while Shane Watson hit 102 off 94 balls. Voges remained unbeaten on 44. Jadeja and Ashwin took two wickets each.

Chasing a victory target of 351, openers Rohit Sharma (79) and Shikhar Dhawan (100) added 178 for the first wicket. Raina and Yuvraj did not last long, but Kohli (115* off 66 balls) and Dhoni (25*) did not commit any mistake and powered the team to a moral boosting win to level the series 2-2 with one match to go in Bangalore on Saturday. For Australia, Mitchell Johnson took two wickets. Kohli was declared ‘Man of the Match’.

India became the first team in ODI history to chase 350+ twice in any bilateral series. Kohli hit his 17th ODI, which is also 4th against Australia. Kohli has scored two hundreds and two fifties in four matches in this series.
