Kalinga Hospital Observes Doctor’s Day in Bhubaneswar

Kalinga Hospital Ltd, the leading Hospital of Odisha celebrated Doctor’s Day yesterday in the Hospital premises in Bhubaneswar. The renowned Hospital conducted a free health checkup camp for senior citizens and honored some eminent doctors to mark the occasion.

kDoctor’s day is celebrated across India on 1st July every year to show respect and gratitude to the doctors. On this day we recall how important they are to us and how invaluable their treatments are that cure us. Doctor’s day is a real opportunity to understand the relation between doctors and patients.

If we think deeply we can feel that doctors are the reflection of GOD in this world who gives life to us. They sacrifice their life for the patients. Not only doctors but their family members also do the same.

In India Doctor’s day is celebrated to honor the legendary physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Bharat Ratna Dr B C Roy. He was born on July 1, 1882 and died on the same date in 1962. Yet, Doctor’s day is observed on March 30 in the western countries.

On this occasion, Kalinga Hospital conducted a free health Check up camp for senior citizens and provided free OPD on Medicine, Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedic, Cardiology, and free diagnostic facilities on BP, ECG, Blood Sugar, Bone densitometry and Ultrasound Screening and 55% discounted Hypertension profile in only Rs.550/.

Kalinga Parivar also felicitated Professor Dr. B.S.Das (Neurosurgeon), Dr. Prof A.C.Mahakur (Nephrologists) and Dr. Sudarshan Baliarsingh (Plastic Surgeon) for their outstanding contribution towards the service of mankind on this occasion.
