Indian Bowlers rule on Day 1 of Hyderabad Test

The Indian bowlers put the Kangaroos on the mat on the first day of Hyderabad Test after the visitors won the toss and decided to bat first. First, Bhuvneshwar Kumar wrecked havoc. Then, it was the turn of Harbhajan and Jadeja to rule the roost.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. They were in trouble after losing four wickets for just 63 runs. However, Michael Clarke (91) and Matthew Wade (62) added 145 runs for the fifth wicket to revive the innings. At one stage, Australia were 208/4, but lost the remaining five wickets for just 29 runs.

The Kangaroos declared at 237/9. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets each, while Harbhajan Singh took two wickets. Ashwin took one. Clarke declared with the hope that his bowlers would take a couple of wickets in the three overs India played. But, nothing such happened. India finished at 5/0 at Stumps.
