Hyderabad in Play-Off, Bangalore crash out of IPL

Sunrisers Hyderabad became the fourth team to reach the play-off of the IPL 6. Royal Challengers Bangalore crashed out of the tournament, even as their batsmen Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle finished in the top 5 list of leading run-scorers. Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals are the other teams in the play-off.

Kolkata Knight Riders posted 130/7 in 20 overs. Yusuf Pathan was the top scorer with 49. Kallis made 24. Dale Steyn took two wickets.

Parthiv Patel (47) and Shikhar Dhawan (42) added 89 runs for the first wicket. However, they got a big scare after losing 5 wickets in quick succession. Sammy (17*) hit two big sixes to take the team to victory. Hyderabad reached 132/5 in 18.5 overs. Iqbal Abdula took three wickets. Parthiv Patel was declared ‘ Man of the Match’.
