Ferrari Ki Sawaari – A Complete Review

TNI Bureau: For the first time Bollywood has tried to offer something different putting all the elements and masala in a film. The debutant director Rajesh Mapuskar’s effort ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’ is a heartwarming story in which Sharman Joshi is seen in a comic avatar.

After watching the film, one will feel the industry is going through realignment and experimenting a lot before presenting a movie to the viewers. For the first time Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, director Rajesh Mapuskar and writer Rajkumar Hirani have chosen a fine plot, added a spice of humour and emotions, cast talented actors and served it to the audience.

The film is a heart-warming tale of unconditional and unmitigated love between a father and his son. This is a story about small guys and their big dreams. This is the film, which can be enjoyed by all age groups.

The story revolves around a little boy Kayo (Ritwik Sahore), who thinks of nothing but cricket. But his father Rusy (Sharman Joshi) thinks of nothing but his little boy. Rusy works in the RTO, but hopes to fulfill his son’s dream of becoming a cricketer.

The father-son duo lives with Deboo (Boman Irani), Rusy’s father. He is an old man with unpleasant past, which has made himself insensitive to people around him.

The loving father Rusy in an attempt to fulfill his son’s dream of playing at Lord’s cricket ground, he performs dishonesty in his life. He borrows a red Ferrari for one hour to make his son believe that his dream became true.

The trouble begins as he has not informed the owner of the car, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. He pays a lot for a ride in Ferrari. He meets amazing characters – a wedding planner who’ll stop at nothing, a Laurel-and-Hardyesque pair of loyal attendants, a greedy politician and his reckless son, a mechanic who specializes in stolen cars – for hiding the truth.

As the Ferrari moves through the chaotic world of street-thugs and mass-weddings, Rusy and his family meet an unforgettable night, which changes their lives forever. Rusy tries to play a role of perfect father.

Sharman Joshi is the man, which has effectively driven the film on the way to box office hit. He has proved his potentiality for the first time as a solo hero. Boman Irani is a real rockstar in the film. He is awesome as Deboo. The comical dialogues delivered by him have added a spice to the film. Young Ritvik has managed to perform well in the film. Paresh Rawal in cameo is praiseworthy and Vidya Balan’s new avatar as item number will leave u saying, “Yeh Dil Mange More…”

Debutant Rajesh Mapuskar, who was an assistant director in films like ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Lage Raho MunnaBhai’, has managed to showcase the difference between reality and fantasy. Sudhir Palsane’s cinematography is fantastic. Pritam’s music is already a chart buster hit.

So, guys! Fasten your seatbelts to watch the film and the joyride awaits…at the theatres near you.
