Earlier, RPI chief Ramdas Athavale had fished out a morcha at the Bigg Boss house in Lonavala, demanding eviction of Trivedi from the show for hurting sentiments of the community through his caricatures.

Asim Trivedi became famous when he was arrested with the charge of sedition for his cartoons about Indian Constitution and Parliament. However, later he was released on bail and the charge of sedition was also revoked by the Maharashtra government.

RPI objected to Trivedi’s participation saying the cartoonist had “hurt the sentiments” of the Dalit community with his cartoons.

However, the Bigg Boss show will not be affected with this attack. As such Asim has been nominated to be evicted from the house this weekend along with Gulab Gang leader Sampat Pal and hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani. Hence, if this attack is really by the RPI activists, then it was not all required.
