Anna kicks off ‘Jantantra Yatra’ from Jallianwala Bagh
Veteran social activist Anna Hazare kicked off his “Jantantra Yatra” from the martyrs’ memorial in Jallianwala Bagh to awaken people to get ready for widespread movement against corruption.
After offering prayer at a temple on Sunday, he launched his 18-month yatra, which he described as the beginning of the second freedom struggle to free the nation from corruption, corrupt politicians.
He wished the movement will create a strong Jan Shakti against the corrupt government. However, he made it clear that he had no plan to join politics in future.
The movement would be a strong message to the government ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
